App-Based Remote RF Coil Monitoring System in MRI Scanners

Health icon, disabled. A red heart with a cardiac rhythm running through it.

The goal is to develop a remote RF power monitoring system that measures the power directly from the MRI RF coil using an Android application-based wireless module for the safety of patients, personnel, and equipment. This system will provide accurate and real-time measurement of the forward and reflected RF power of an RF coil with convenience and simplicity. It will also ensure that there are no additional noises that can generate any artifacts in MR images, making it a valuable tool in MRI RF components research and engineering. In the future, multiple coils can be monitored at once.
