Building a HEK293T Reporter Cell Line to Study Gene Expression
Through the course of development, human cells successfully differentiate into hundreds of different cell types. A better understanding of cell differentiation could have applications in relation to regenerative stem cell therapies, disease pathologies, and gene regulatory networks. A triple reporter cell line with fluorescent tags for three different genes related to cell fate would provide several advantages, including the ability to quantitatively measure cell state and watch levels of different transcription factors change over time. This project concerns the initial steps toward creating the triple reporter cell line.
