Optimization of PEG-Polyurethane Polymers for Biomedical Applications
Poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG)-Polyurethane polymers are currently being used in tissue regeneration scaffolds, heart valves, and wound healing applications. Targeting specific PEG-Polyurethane properties can address the clinical needs mentioned above. The focus of this research is to analyze the molecular structure, the molecular weight (MW), and the accelerated swelling and degradation of the polymer to optimize PEG-Polyurethane for tissue regeneration. The polymers were manufactured at different temperatures and characterized to evaluate molecular weight and structure.
