Inducible GFP Expression in Engineered Quorum Sensing Systems

Quorum Sensing (QS) is an important tool for bioengineering and synthetic biology. Understanding and modeling these systems will allow scientists to use these systems in a variety of fields, such as drug delivery systems and tissue engineering. Inducible promoters regulate gene expression that will facilitate scientists to confirm these quorum sensing circuits. For this reason, properly fabricating these inducible promoters is essential for the field of bioengineering. This research explores hybrid promoter design for inducible promoters in order to find orthogonal QS systems. In addition, it explores whether or not these inducible promoters provide better expression for the system.
