Passive Haptic Learning as a Reinforcement Modality for Information

The possibility of passively absorbing new information while engaging in other activities calls for attention especially in today’s culture where time is valued the most. This topic is generally called Passive Haptic Learning and usually information is transmitted through haptic feedback generated by small vibration motors similar to a smartphone vibration. Previous research determined Passive Haptic feedback can help people to memorize button patterns, or even help people to play the piano better. This research focuses on investigating if passive haptic feedback can positively affect the ability to remember unrelated information such as random word pairs.
