Developing a Multimodal Node Graph Tool

This overall research serves to create a tool to improve accessibility to node graphs for students that are blind or visually impaired. The tool will implement a multimodal approach utilizing haptics and audio, with the aim of allowing users to easily explore and create node graphs. The research team is currently studying various audio (speech and non-speech) techniques in order to present node graph transitions in such a way that transition patterns will be easily discernible to the user. User study results will be evaluated on accuracy, timing, and user feedback. The results from this study will better guide the research team in further developing the graph tool.
