Vehicle Tracking Pipeline for an Intelligent Parking System

Data icon, disabled. Four grey bars arranged like a vertical bar chart.

The escalating urban population has intensified parking challenges, necessitating innovative solutions. Ongoing industrial research strives to devise an intelligent parking system, efficiently guiding human drivers and Automated Vehicles (AVs) to available parking spaces. Notably, current research overlooks the critical issue of traffic congestion, a significant contributor to time inefficiencies, fuel wastage, increased greenhouse gas emissions, and traffic incidents. This proposed research project addresses this gap by introducing a Vehicle Tracking pipeline within the intelligent parking system. This technology monitors real-time vehicle movement within parking lots, averting congestion and fostering positive societal impacts by enhancing efficiency and reducing environmental footprint.
