Lithium phosphorus oxynitride (LiPON) has gained attention as a potential solid-state battery electrolyte, offering advantages over traditional liquid electrolytes in lithium-ion batteries. This study examines various LiPON compositions in comparison to other solid electrolytes, focusing on their ionic conductivity — a key factor for solid-state electrolyte efficiency. Several external factors, including coating quality, solution preparation, and sintering, influence these results. Further research is recommended to optimize these parameters and enhance electrolyte performance.
