Novel Nanoparticle System to Treat Traumatic Brain Injury

Health icon, disabled. A red heart with a cardiac rhythm running through it.

Each year 5.3 million Americans are living with a traumatic brain injury (TBI)-related disability and another 1.4 million individuals suffer from a TBI. The objective of this project was to evaluate a novel nanoparticle system to address the underlying pathology following TBI. Specifically, researchers used RNA seq to analyze global gene expression trends obtained from mouse brain tissue to assess the efficacy of the nanoparticle intervention.
