Enhancing Arterial Tissue Digestion Methods for Deeper Insights into Arterial Disease

Health icon, disabled. A red heart with a cardiac rhythm running through it.

It is hypothesized that time-dependent analysis of enzymatic digestion incubation used to dissociate cells from the surrounding tissue scaffold will reveal optimal digestion time. This study has two primary objectives: firstly, to ascertain the most effective enzymatic digestion duration that enhances cell yield and viability; secondly, to employ flow cytometry for the comprehensive characterization of diverse vascular cell types.
