Having a sick pet can be stressful for the pet and owner. With Internet-of-things (IoT) technology, it can give the owner ease of mind. This research aims at developing an IoT-based pet monitoring solution that integrates sensors connected to the internet so that the pet’s status can be continuously monitored during the times that they need the most attention. This semester the research focused on monitoring the activity cycles of a pet with an IoT collar by tracking running, sleeping, and exploring habits.
