Data Process Methods in the Design of Pressure Monitoring System for Scoliosis Fusion Surgery

Health icon, disabled. A red heart with a cardiac rhythm running through it.

Scoliosis fusion surgery is the common treatment for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. However, a series of complications occur during the recovery time, which are often related to inaccurate implant positioning. The objective of this research is to study optimal data processing methods and design a smart and reliable pressure monitoring system for scoliosis fusion surgery. This study will improve the accuracy of the system measurement during the procedure, which will maximize the optimal surgical outcomes.
