Ronald Calhoun
Associate Professor, School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy
Ronald Calhoun is an associate professor in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University. He directs the Environmental Remote Sensing Group, a multi-disciplinary research program dedicated to understanding fluid motions in the environment using remote sensing instruments.
Calhoun’s research interests are in fluid dynamics; atmospheric sciences; boundary layer; wind energy and remote sensing. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Meteorological Society, American Geophysical Union. He is a member of the Validation and Verification Committee for Department of Energy’s Chem/Bio Salt Lake City Urban Field Experiment. Calhoun has served as a reviewer for prestigious journals and federal agencies.
