Robert Wang
Associate Professor, School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy
Robert Wang is an associate professor of mechanical engineering in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University. He is also on the graduate faculty for materials science and engineering and chemical engineering at ASU. He joined the ASU faculty in 2011. Prior to ASU, Wang was a postdoctoral fellow in materials sciences with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's Molecular Foundry from 2008 to 2011.
Wang's research interests include thermal energy conversion, storage, and transport in nanostructured materials; thermoelectric power generation; thermal storage media; heat transfer, and phonon optics, as well as the custom-design of colloidal nanoparticles and chemical precursors. His work has been recognized by a CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and a Young Investigator Award from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR).
